The Applie AG participated voluntarily to the fight against the virus
Applie AG has developed the application "V-Protect" free of charge for the country of Liechtenstein. The backend was developed in Laravel programmed and was intended to allow offices, physicians and government to send news, updates and directions directly from the back office to the app.
The app was equipped with integrated tracking system, which allows pre-sick people to turn on their own "protection mode" as soon as these people leave your house- or these go into larger crowds where the minimum distance of 1.5 meters can no longer be guaranteed.
For the latest WHO and government figures and updates, a scanning system to the official website has been developed, which automatically updates the app with the latest figures and messages every 10 minutes.
Due to the cooperation with Switzerland and their developed app "Corona Warn-App" which we by the way in the «Applie App Check» have reviewed, cooperation with Applie AG was ruled out.
Nevertheless, we are quite astonished that we were able to set up such a sophisticated, functioning system in the short development period of only 20 days.
We would also like to express our sincere thanks to the Liechtenstein national administration, which has actively supported us in the area of data protection!
The current situation is about protecting those with pre-existing health problems and our elderly.
V-Protect is about supporting these people. No information is shared about the specific pre-existing conditions of these people, it is about making other people aware so that they are informed in time to prevent infections in these people. This avoids overburdening the public health system.
